Dharamshala Mcleodganj 5 Nights / 6 Days Tour
Dharamshala and Mcleodganj 5 Nights / 6 Days Tour with Thrillomania Hostel Stay
The hills of Dharamshala and Mcleodganj have always been more than just mountains — they’re a feeling. For a group of 13 IT professionals from Delhi and Gurgaon, this 6-day journey turned into a story of peace, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Organized by Thrillomania, this tour combined the calm of monasteries, the charm of Himachali hospitality, and the thrill of the Triund Trek.
Day 1: Delhi to Dharamshala – The Journey Begins
The adventure started late evening from Delhi aboard a Volvo Bus for the 550 km overnight journey. The group made their first stop at Murthal for a delicious North Indian dinner — parathas, curd, and hot tea to kickstart the trip. By dawn, as the bus entered the valleys of Kangra, the group was welcomed with cool mountain air and steaming cups of morning tea. The sun slowly rose above pine forests — a sight that instantly refreshed everyone.
Day 2: Check-In at Thrillomania Hostel – Warm Welcome by Rajesh
On arrival in Dharamshala, the group checked into the cozy and colorful Thrillomania Hostel. The hostel owner, Mr. Rajesh, was a perfect host — humble, polite, and genuinely kind. His gentle nature made everyone feel at home instantly.
After a quick breakfast, the group explored Dharamshala town. Cafés, Buddhist prayer flags, and the backdrop of the Dhauladhar Mountains made it a perfect day to unwind and explore. Dinner was a homemade Himachali meal served at the hostel — rice, rajma, sabzi, and chapati — simple, fresh, and filled with warmth.
Day 3: Exploring Mcleodganj – The Cultural Heart of Himachal
After breakfast, the group headed to Mcleodganj — often called “Little Lhasa.” They visited the Tibetan Museum, Bhagsunag Temple, and the beautiful Bhagsu Waterfall. The sound of falling water against the rocks created a meditative vibe.
Later, the team walked through the local market, enjoying momos, thukpa, and butter tea. Evening prayers at the Kalachakra Temple filled the air with chants and serenity. As the sun set over the mountains, they enjoyed stargazing from Naddi — one of the most peaceful spots near Mcleodganj.
Day 4: Triund Trek – A Beginner’s Paradise
Early morning, the group geared up for the much-awaited Triund Trek. Led by local guides, they started from Gallu Devi Temple, passing through oak and rhododendron forests. The path, though steep at times, was filled with scenic beauty — snow peaks in the distance, the chirping of birds, and the laughter of fellow trekkers.
“Triund is not just a trek, it’s an experience — a place where every sunrise feels new, and every star has a story.”
After a four-hour climb, the group reached the Triund Top. The view was breathtaking — snowcapped mountains of the Dhauladhar range, the valley below glowing golden in the afternoon sun. That evening, they watched the sunset paint the sky orange and pink, followed by a night of stargazing under the clear Himalayan sky.
Day 5: Return from Triund – Local Exploration & Shopping
After a refreshing morning tea with mountain views, the group descended back to Mcleodganj. The downhill journey was filled with stories, laughter, and a sense of accomplishment. Once back, they explored local markets for Tibetan handicrafts, woollen shawls, and souvenirs.
Evening was relaxed with a bonfire at the hostel, hosted by Rajesh and his team. Music, food, and friendship made it a memorable final night in Dharamshala.
Day 6: Farewell – Return to Delhi
The journey concluded with smiling faces and heavy hearts. After breakfast, the group boarded the Volvo back to Delhi, carrying memories of snow peaks, silent monasteries, and a sense of inner calm. As the hills disappeared in the distance, everyone silently promised to return.
