Markha Valley Trek from Delhi

The Markha Valley Trek is a wonderful adventure that can be embarked upon from Delhi, India's capital city. The journey from Delhi to Leh, the starting point of the trek, is usually done by air due to the distance and terrain.

Once you reach Leh, you'll need to acclimatize to the high altitude before beginning the trek. This typically takes a couple of days, during which you can explore Leh and its surrounding areas.

From Leh, the trek to Markha Valley begins, passing through scenic landscapes, quaint villages, and ancient monasteries. The trek usually takes around 7 to 9 days, depending on the route chosen and the pace of the trekking group.

It's advisable to plan the trek well in advance, considering factors like weather conditions, permits, and accommodations along the trail.

June to September is considered the trekking season in Ladakh region, including the Markha Valley. The temperatures during the day are comfortable for trekking, ranging from 15°C to 25°C in the lower regions of the valley.

It's important to note that the weather in the Himalayan region can be unpredictable, and conditions may change rapidly. Therefore, it's advisable to be prepared for sudden changes in weather and to carry appropriate gear for all conditions.
