Dharamshala is a city located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh that is renowned as the sacred residence of the Dalai Lama.
Surrounded by dense cedar forest on the edge of Himalayas, Dharamshala is known for its scenic & beautiful landscapes.
Dharamshala is divided into two areas Lower Dharamshala and Upper Dharamshala often referred to as Mcleodganj and both these regions have beautiful landscapes. Other suburbs include Naddi, Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, etc.
Dharamshala attracts numerous foreign nationals though Mcleodganj is being preferred by backpackers. It is also a hub for students perusing Buddhism.
The city is also popular among trekkers as it acts as a start point of various trekking trails.
There will be a lot of walking involved throughout your journey and we feel that is the best way to explore this beautiful town. However; we strictly recommend you to wear comfortable footwear and clothing.

You will have to reach a central point in Delhi on your own by 930 pm. You will be greeted by your Tour Manager who will be with you throughout your Dharamshala discovery. The contact details of Tour Manager will be shared prior to your trip. Get on board your AC deluxe coach and relax as proceed for an overnight journey to picturesque city of Dharamshala.
Breakfast at Hotel
Proceed to St. John’s Church, an 18th century church that was built in dense woods hence known as St. John in the Wilderness. We continue to Mcleodganj, often referred as Little Lhasa. The coach would be parked in the main parking as we will cover multiple attractions by walk. We walk for 02 km to reach the sacred ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bhagsu Nag Temple. People often take a dip in holy water. A long walk will further lead us to Bhagsu Waterfall which is magnificent and you will surely admire the beauty of this high-altitude spot. Return to Tsuglagkhang (Buddha Temple), a Buddhist monastery. The complex is home to Dalai Lama’s residence, Tibet Museum, Tsuglagkhang Temple and Namgyal Gompa. We then proceed to Dal Lake, a mid-altitude small lake situated on the way to Naddi view point. Its name is taken from the well-known Dal Lake of Srinagar. Return to your Hotel. We end our day at Sunset Point Naddi, a short walk from our Hotel. Enjoy the spectacular view of Dhauladhar Range at sunset.

We start our exploration with a visit to picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium which is located at a height of 1,457 meters above the sea level. Situated in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, it is counted as one of the most attractive cricket stadium of India. We move to another important site of Dharamshala, War Memorial which was built to honor Himachali Martyrs. This is a peaceful place with artistic landscape and lawns located in the middle of lush green pine trees. After a brief break for lunch, we will head to Kangra, which is situated in the southern escarpment of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, we visit Kangra Fort, one of the largest Fort in Himalayas. The fort witnesed many invasions before falling to an earthquake. We finally head to Brijeshwari Temple (Shri Kangra Devi Mandir). This sacred shrine is renowned for its great wealth. In the evening, we return to our Hotel.

Enjoy your breakfast this morning. After breakfast, check out and board your coach as we proceed to Anandpur Sahib, a place that has been significant to the Sikh history. After taking the blessings at Gurudwara, we continue our journey to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at a central point from where the journey began. Our service ends.
