Do Dham with Tungnath Tour Overview
This journey brings together three significant Shiva and Vishnu pilgrimage experiences in Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and part of the Char Dham circuit. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, while Tungnath is one of the five Panch Kedar shrines.
The route also passes through the Mandakini and Alaknanda valleys, Chopta's forests, Joshimath and several river confluences. When weather is clear and the group is fit, travellers may continue above Tungnath to Chandrashila for wider Himalayan views.
This seven-day version is not a relaxed tour
It combines an approximately 32 km Kedarnath round-trip trek with the approximately 9 km Tungnath–Chandrashila return route. Day 4 begins after the Kedarnath descent day and includes another high-altitude trek. Guests wanting Triyuginarayan, more rest or easier pacing should choose the recommended eight-day version.

7-Day Do Dham with Tungnath Itinerary
Distances and travel times are approximate. Weather, road controls, pilgrimage traffic, health and local administration may require changes to the route.
Day 01
Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun to Guptkashi
Meet the driver at the confirmed pickup point and travel towards the Kedarnath valley through Devprayag, Srinagar and Rudraprayag. A short Devprayag viewpoint stop may be made when traffic, daylight and safe parking permit.
After reaching Guptkashi, check in and rest. Visit Vishwanath Temple only when arrival time, opening hours and traveller energy allow.
Night stay: Guptkashi, Sitapur or nearby
Day 02
Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Depart before dawn for Sonprayag. Continue by authorised local transport to Gaurikund and begin the approximately 16 km uphill trek to Kedarnath. Walking commonly takes 6–8 hours and may take longer in rain or heavy pilgrimage traffic.
Pony or palki services may be hired through authorised counters. Helicopter services may operate from Guptkashi, Phata or Sirsi, subject to official booking, passenger requirements, weather and availability.
After arrival, check in and attend darshan according to the day's temple arrangements.

Day 03
Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Attend morning darshan when practical, then descend towards Gaurikund. Continue by local transport to Sonprayag and meet the tour vehicle at the designated pickup point.
Return to the hotel and rest. Triyuginarayan is not included on this day because adding it after the Kedarnath descent would make the programme unreliable and unnecessarily exhausting.
Night stay: Guptkashi, Sitapur or nearby
Day 04
Guptkashi to Chopta, Tungnath and Chandrashila
Leave early for Ukhimath and Chopta. A brief Omkareshwar Temple visit may be included when the temple is open and it does not delay the trek.
The established Chopta–Tungnath trail is approximately 3 km. After temple darshan, assess weather and fitness before continuing approximately 1.5 km further to Chandrashila. Return by the same route.
Chandrashila remains optional and must be skipped in poor visibility, snow, thunder, heavy rain, strong wind or significant fatigue.
Night stay: Chopta, Dugalbitta or nearby
Day 05
Chopta to Badrinath
Travel through Gopeshwar, Chamoli and Joshimath towards Badrinath. Visit Narsingh Devta Temple or the Shankaracharya Math only when opening hours, parking and the day's road conditions allow.
Check in after reaching Badrinath. Evening darshan is subject to arrival time, temple arrangements and guest wellbeing. Mana village is planned for Day 6 rather than forcing it into this already long driving day.

Day 06
Badrinath Darshan, Mana and Rudraprayag
Visit Badrinath Temple according to the confirmed darshan timing. Bathing in Tapt Kund is optional and should be avoided when medically unsuitable, overcrowded or restricted.
Visit Mana village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa or Bhim Pul only when road access and time permit. Continue towards Rudraprayag through Joshimath, Nandprayag and Karnaprayag. Safe confluence stops are made according to daylight and traffic.
Night stay: Rudraprayag
Day 07
Rudraprayag to Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun
Drive towards the confirmed drop point. Visit Maa Dhari Devi Temple when open and when safe parking and time permit. Continue via Srinagar and Devprayag.
A brief Rishikesh visit is possible for travellers ending in Haridwar or Dehradun only when traffic and daylight allow. Do not book a tight onward train or flight immediately after the mountain journey.

Choose Eight Days for Triyuginarayan and Better Rest
Triyuginarayan Temple is an important pilgrimage site, but it is not honestly covered in the compact seven-day itinerary. Add one day to create a more practical route:
Recommended Day 4
After the Kedarnath descent night, visit Triyuginarayan Temple and Omkareshwar Temple, then continue to the Chopta region and rest. Complete Tungnath and Chandrashila on Day 5, followed by Badrinath on Day 6, Rudraprayag on Day 7 and the return journey on Day 8.

The vehicle passes through or near these locations, but a dedicated sightseeing stop at every confluence is not guaranteed. Mountain traffic, safe parking and daylight determine which viewpoints can be used.
Temple and Trek Availability
Kedarnath, Badrinath and Tungnath follow seasonal opening and closing calendars. The programme is offered only when all required routes and temples are officially open. Early-season snow and late-season cold can affect Chandrashila even when the Dham temples are operating.

Is this really a seven-day tour?
Yes, but it is fast-paced and physically demanding. The eight-day version is better for Triyuginarayan, rest and more reliable sightseeing.
Is Triyuginarayan included in seven days?
No. It is included in the recommended eight-day version because adding it after the Kedarnath descent would make Day 3 unreliable and exhausting.
How long is the Kedarnath trek?
