Begin a spiritually meaningful journey from Delhi to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. TravelTrek offers customisable Chardham Yatra packages by private car, Tempo Traveller, coach and selected helicopter arrangements, with transport, accommodation and meals planned according to your group.
The Chardham Yatra is one of India’s most revered pilgrimages. It connects four sacred Himalayan shrines—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath—across the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The journey brings together faith, mountain landscapes, ancient temples and the experience of travelling through some of North India’s most dramatic terrain.
Delhi is a practical starting point for pilgrims arriving from different parts of India. A complete Chardham tour package from Delhi can include the vehicle, driver, planned overnight stops, selected meals and accommodation throughout the road journey.
Every group travels differently. Families may prefer a private car, larger groups may need a Tempo Traveller or coach, and guests with limited time may consider an approved helicopter itinerary. Our packages are therefore prepared according to the travel dates, passenger ages, group size, preferred hotel category and required level of comfort.
Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Yamunotri is traditionally the first shrine visited on the Chardham circuit. Pilgrims continue from the road head towards the temple using the permitted walking or local assistance options.
Gangotri is associated with Goddess Ganga and the sacred Bhagirathi River. The journey through Uttarkashi and the upper Bhagirathi valley is an important part of the pilgrimage experience.
Set high in the Himalayas, Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The shrine is reached by the current trekking route or by authorised helicopter service, subject to operating conditions.
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath stands in the Alaknanda valley. It is normally the final Dham visited before pilgrims begin the return journey towards the plains and Delhi.
A value-focused option using a shared non-AC coach or suitable group vehicle, simple hotels and a confirmed meal plan. It is designed for pilgrims who prioritise an economical journey over premium facilities.
Suitable for couples, small families and senior travellers who prefer privacy and greater control over rest stops. The vehicle category is selected according to passengers and luggage.
A comfortable option for families and private groups who want to travel together. Tempo Traveller packages can be arranged with budget, standard or upgraded hotel categories.
Best suited to larger organised groups. Coach type, air-conditioning conditions, seating capacity and mountain-route suitability are confirmed before booking.
Selected charter itineraries may operate from Dehradun, subject to official permissions, weather, passenger weight limits and operator availability. Kedarnath shuttle tickets must be booked through the official IRCTC HeliYatra system.
A slower itinerary can include shorter driving days, better-positioned hotels and additional rest time. Medical fitness and mobility requirements should be discussed before confirmation.
The following is a sample route for a complete road pilgrimage. Final overnight stops and timings may change according to hotel availability, registration slots, road conditions, local instructions and the pace of the group.
Depart from Delhi in the morning and travel towards Uttarakhand. Check in at the confirmed hotel in Haridwar or Rishikesh and prepare for the mountain journey ahead.
Continue through the hill roads towards Barkot or the confirmed Yamunotri-sector accommodation. Arrive, rest and receive the next day’s reporting instructions.
Travel to the permitted road point and continue towards Yamunotri using the current walking route or locally authorised assistance. After darshan, return carefully to the vehicle and continue to the hotel.
Check out and drive to Uttarkashi. Depending on arrival time and the final programme, guests may visit a local temple or rest at the hotel before the Gangotri journey.
Leave early for Gangotri through the Bhagirathi valley. Complete darshan according to current arrangements and return to Uttarkashi for the night.
Begin a long mountain drive towards the Kedarnath sector. Check in at the confirmed accommodation and review the reporting time for the trek or authorised helicopter service.
Continue to the authorised starting point and proceed towards Kedarnath by the current trekking route or a separately confirmed helicopter arrangement. Accommodation near Kedarnath is simple and subject to availability.
After the planned darshan and local formalities, descend using the permitted route. Meet the vehicle at the confirmed point and return to the sector hotel for rest.
Travel through the Garhwal valleys towards Badrinath. Check in and complete darshan according to the confirmed schedule, local crowd conditions and temple arrangements.
After breakfast and any permitted local visit included in the final programme, drive towards Rudraprayag, Srinagar or another confirmed overnight location.
Continue towards Rishikesh or Haridwar. The final stop provides time to rest after the mountain circuit before returning to Delhi.
Check out and travel back to Delhi. Drop-off is provided at the location confirmed in the final booking, concluding the Chardham Yatra.
There is no single price that applies to every Chardham Yatra. A couple travelling by private car has different requirements from a 12-person family using a Tempo Traveller or a large group booking a coach.
The correct quotation depends on the travel month, group size, vehicle type, room occupancy, hotel category, meal plan and any helicopter or local assistance requested. Prices can also change during peak dates and when mountain accommodation is limited.

Government yatra registration is required before booking Kedarnath helicopter tickets. Operations remain subject to weather, aviation rules, passenger weight limits, reporting time and the operator’s terms and conditions.
Some parts of the yatra involve high altitude, cold weather, long drives and demanding walking. Discuss existing health concerns with a qualified medical professional before booking.
Rain, snowfall, landslides and road restrictions can affect the route. Keep flexibility in the programme and follow official local advisories.
Carry warm layers, rain protection, walking shoes with grip, sun protection and a small day bag for temple visits and treks.
Keep valid identity documents, official yatra registration, hotel and vehicle details, emergency contacts and any required medical information.
A comfortable road itinerary normally requires about 10 to 12 days. The exact duration depends on overnight stops, road conditions, darshan arrangements and the pace of the group.
