Experience the spiritual essence of Kedarnath and Badrinath on a six-day pilgrimage through the Garhwal Himalayas. This thoughtfully paced package allows trekking pilgrims to stay near Kedarnath before descending, then continues by road to Badrinath Dham.
Kedarnath and Badrinath are two of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and forms part of both the Uttarakhand Char Dham and the wider Char Dham tradition.
TravelTrek’s six-day Do Dham package is designed for pilgrims who want a more practical alternative to a same-day Kedarnath ascent and descent. Trekking guests can stay near Kedarnath on Day 2, descend on Day 3 and rest in the Guptkashi sector before continuing to Badrinath.
Transport, hotel category, selected meals and optional services can be customised according to your travel date, passengers, room requirements, budget and preferred method of reaching Kedarnath.
Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and stands high in the Mandakini valley. The official route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is approximately 16 km one way. Walking time depends on fitness, weather, crowd levels and current path conditions.
Pilgrims may walk or use separately arranged pony, palki or authorised helicopter services, subject to availability and official conditions.
Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and stands beside the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district. The shrine is accessible by a motorable mountain road, although the final sector can be affected by weather and traffic controls.
Temple darshan, Tapt Kund and a short Mana village visit may be planned according to arrival time, access and the confirmed itinerary.
A suitable private car, SUV, Tempo Traveller or group vehicle according to confirmed passengers, luggage and route requirements.
Stays in the Guptkashi sector, near Kedarnath, near Badrinath and in Rudraprayag according to the final booking.
Breakfast and dinner can be included as written in the quotation. Remote pilgrimage locations may offer simple vegetarian meals.
The programme is organised around Kedarnath and Badrinath darshan, subject to registration, temple timings and queues.
A knowledgeable guide can be quoted separately where available. Guide service is included only when stated in writing.
Share health, mobility, room and meal requirements so suitable arrangements can be proposed for your family or group.
Meet the driver at the confirmed Haridwar pickup point and travel through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Srinagar and Rudraprayag towards Guptkashi. Enjoy changing views of the Ganga, Alaknanda and Mandakini river valleys.
If arrival time and opening hours permit, visit the Vishwanath or Ardhanarishwar Temple in Guptkashi. Check in at the confirmed hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Leave early and travel to Sonprayag. Continue to Gaurikund using the authorised local shuttle system because private tour vehicles are normally unable to proceed beyond the designated point.
Begin the approximately 16 km uphill journey to Kedarnath. Pilgrims may walk or use separately arranged pony or palki services. After arrival, check in at the confirmed basic accommodation and proceed for darshan according to temple timings and crowd arrangements.
Stay overnight near Kedarnath. Facilities at high altitude are basic, and baggage should be kept light.
Attend morning darshan if required and check out after breakfast or according to the accommodation plan. Begin the approximately 16 km descent to Gaurikund.
From Gaurikund, use the authorised local shuttle to Sonprayag. Meet the tour driver at the clearly confirmed meeting point and continue to the hotel in the Guptkashi, Sitapur or Sonprayag sector.
Have dinner and rest after completing the Kedarnath sector.
After an early breakfast, begin the long drive to Badrinath through Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag and Joshimath. Stops depend on traffic, road conditions and available daylight.
On arrival, check in at the confirmed hotel near Badrinath, Pandukeshwar or Joshimath. Evening Badrinath darshan or aarti is possible only if the group arrives in time and current temple arrangements permit.
Visit Badrinath Temple early if darshan was not completed the previous evening. Pilgrims visiting Tapt Kund should follow official health and access instructions.
A brief Mana village visit may be possible with an early start and suitable local access. Begin the return journey through Joshimath. A stop at Narsingh Temple can be considered if time, parking and opening hours permit.
Continue through the Alaknanda valley and check in at the confirmed Rudraprayag hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Haridwar. A brief stop at Devprayag may be included to view the sacred confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers.
If traffic and daylight permit, stop at an accessible riverfront or temple area in Rishikesh. Continue to Haridwar for drop-off at the agreed hotel, railway station or other accessible point.
Helicopter shuttle services may operate from authorised helipads such as Phata, Sirsi and Guptkashi. Tickets are not included unless expressly written in the final quotation.
Helicopter passengers normally return to the lower valley on the same day rather than staying near Kedarnath. Therefore, Day 2 and Day 3 must be adjusted before confirmation. Day 3 may become a buffer, recovery or local sightseeing day depending on the confirmed flight plan.
Flights are subject to weather, permissions, passenger weight, baggage restrictions, reporting time and operator rules. A delayed or cancelled flight may require an itinerary change and extra accommodation or transport.
Approximately 16 km each way from Gaurikund. Fitness preparation, an early start and suitable footwear are essential.

Promotional discounts apply only when stated in a dated written quotation with clear eligibility and validity conditions. No fixed 20% discount is guaranteed by this page.
