A Mumbai package normally begins with a commercial flight or train journey to the northern gateway. For an air arrival, Dehradun is the practical starting point for both road itineraries and multi-dham helicopter packages. The Mumbai–Dehradun sector is included only when clearly written in the quotation.

Day 01
Mumbai → Dehradun
Arrive at the Himalayan Gateway
Travel from Mumbai to Dehradun by the independently booked or package-included flight. Meet the representative and transfer to the confirmed hotel.
Use the arrival day to rest, complete final document checks and receive the driver and emergency-contact details.
Day 02
Dehradun → Mussoorie Sector → Barkot
Drive to Barkot
Leave after an early breakfast and travel towards Barkot through the Mussoorie sector. A short Kempty Falls stop may be included when traffic, parking and daylight permit.
Continue to Barkot, check in at the hotel and rest before the Yamunotri excursion.
Day 03
Barkot → Janki Chatti → Yamunotri → Barkot
Yamunotri Temple Darshan
Drive to Janki Chatti and begin the approximately 6 km ascent to Yamunotri. Walking, pony, palki and doli options are separately available.
Visit Yamunotri Temple, Divya Shila and the Surya Kund area according to local access and safety guidance. Surya Kund is a very hot spring used for sacred offerings and should not be treated as a normal bathing pool.
Descend to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 04
Barkot → Dharasu → Uttarkashi
Travel to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi and check in at the hotel. Visit Kashi Vishwanath and Shakti temples after arrival when opening hours permit.
Return to the hotel for dinner and rest before the Gangotri excursion.
Day 05
Uttarkashi → Harsil → Gangotri → Uttarkashi
Gangotri Temple Darshan
Depart early and travel through Gangnani, Dharali and Harsil towards Gangotri. Scenic stops depend on traffic, weather and temple timing.
Proceed for Gangotri Temple darshan. Perform personal rituals only in permitted areas because the Bhagirathi water is extremely cold and the current can be dangerous.
Return to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06
Uttarkashi → Tehri Sector → Guptkashi
Long Drive to the Kedarnath Valley
Leave early for the long journey towards Guptkashi. The operating road may change according to weather, traffic and district instructions.
Check in at the hotel after arrival. Visit Vishwanath or Ardhanarishwar Temple only if opening hours and available daylight permit.
Day 07
Guptkashi → Sonprayag → Gaurikund → Kedarnath
Trek to Kedarnath Dham
Leave before dawn and travel to Sonprayag. Use the authorised local shuttle to Gaurikund because private tour vehicles normally remain at the designated lower point.
Begin the approximately 16 km ascent to Kedarnath. Walking, pony and palki services are separately available. On arrival, check in at the confirmed basic accommodation and proceed for darshan according to temple arrangements.
Day 08
Kedarnath → Gaurikund → Sonprayag → Guptkashi
Morning Darshan and Descent
Complete morning darshan if required and begin the approximately 16 km descent. From Gaurikund, use the authorised local shuttle to Sonprayag.
Meet the tour driver at the clearly confirmed location and return to the hotel in the Guptkashi, Sitapur or Sersi sector for rest.
Day 09
Guptkashi → Rudraprayag → Joshimath → Badrinath
Drive to Badrinath Dham
After an early breakfast, travel through the Alaknanda valley towards Badrinath. Stops at the Prayags or Joshimath depend on road conditions, traffic and available daylight.
Check in near Badrinath, Pandukeshwar or Joshimath. Evening darshan or aarti remains subject to the actual arrival time and current temple arrangements.
Day 10
Badrinath → Mana → Joshimath → Rudraprayag
Badrinath Darshan and Return
Visit Badrinath Temple early if darshan was not completed the previous evening. Follow local safety instructions before entering the Tapt Kund area.
A brief Mana village visit may include Vyas Gufa or Bhim Pul when road access and available time permit. Begin the return journey through Joshimath.
Reach Rudraprayag and check in at the hotel. A visit to the Rudraprayag confluence or Koteshwar Mahadev may be considered only when time and access permit. Rudranath Temple is not part of this route.
Day 11
Rudraprayag → Devprayag → Rishikesh → Dehradun
Return to Dehradun with a Flight Buffer
After breakfast, travel towards Dehradun. Brief stops at Devprayag or Rishikesh depend on road conditions and the required arrival time.
Check in at the Dehradun hotel. This buffer night protects the Mumbai flight from common mountain-road delays.
Day 12
Dehradun → Mumbai
Departure for Mumbai
After breakfast or according to the flight time, transfer to Dehradun Airport. Board the independently booked or package-included flight to Mumbai.
A ten-day road package is not recommended for walking pilgrims because it would require an exhausting same-day Kedarnath return and a risky flight connection after mountain driving.
Chardham Yatra by Helicopter from Mumbai
The helicopter pilgrimage does not begin in Mumbai. Travellers first take a commercial flight or train to Dehradun. The Chardham helicopter sector then normally begins from the confirmed Dehradun or Sahastradhara helipad.
Helicopter itineraries may operate in the traditional sequence using landing points near Kharsali for Yamunotri, Harsil or Jhalla for Gangotri, an authorised Kedarnath-sector helipad and Badrinath. Road transfers or trekking are still required for some final shrine sectors.
A multi-dham helicopter package is subject to weather, permissions, passenger weight, baggage restrictions, aircraft availability and operator conditions. It should include a Dehradun arrival night and preferably a buffer before the Mumbai return flight.
A ten-day Mumbai package may be possible with confirmed helicopter assistance, but its hotel nights and road sectors must follow the operator’s actual flight programme.
