Boynton Canyon Trail


Enjoy this 3.7-kilometer out-and-back near Phoenix, Arizona. Usually regarded as a difficult route. Because this is a popular hiking region, you will most likely come across other people while exploring. This trail is best visited between October and April. Dogs are not permitted on this trail, so leave them at home.


Hikers, hikers, sightseers, and runners throng to Piestewa Peak, attracted in part by its proximity to Phoenix and wide views. This peak has a short but strenuous ascent and several spectacular views of the Sonoran desert.


The parking lot is accessible via Piestewa Peak Drive, which connects to numerous hiking routes in Phoenix Mountain Preserve. The trail begins with a brief connecting trail and continues straight to the summit. This summit hike is ideal for anyone looking for a good exercise. Camelback Mountain, the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area, and the city of Phoenix are all visible from the summit. The Piestewa Peak Summit Trail is ideal for a sunset trek to round out your day.
